Leaving the merger aside, what about pay per click? Both Microsoft AdCenter and Yahoo Panama are fighting to position two, that is because Yahoo Search Marketing / Overture has been on a downhill spin.
At one time overture was ahead of Google Adwords, but that seems to have occur in the distant past as Yahoo is now a sick old man with a death rattle in his voice.
