Chrysler Bankrupt

Here is a TV show about selli8ng cars that should alert you to why Chrysler failed. Used car salesman Harvey Hunnicut should work for crySLUR AKA crysis. It is not commerce, but rather CONmerce, as in bailing out banksters and a few used car dealers. Hey, you are paying these clown to take your money, enjoy.....

SEO lesson from Chrysler

Today the struggling US automaker went under. What can we learn. First off, you need a good product to convince consumers to invest in you. Chrysler made horrible ugly cars that people did not want. For SEO to attain success you need to push a product that people want. For instance, no amount of advertising or SEO can help push junk long term.

Chrysler should have been allowed to go under in the 70's. Instead the gov kept alive a loser. Learn your lesson, bury losers and push good products. I have spent time pushing losers only to find that they eventually will go under anyway.

niche approach

Focusing your blog on a small niche allows you to become proficient and dominate it. The key is to understand that a small niche = big profits. This is because we need to use less resources to rule a small pond. There are less competitors and using SEO is easier because you need less links.

Search is local

Google is making their search more local with the addition of more results specific to your city. This will help merchants as most buyers of product want to see the items they ish to purchase. I am already getting ready for the change.

Yahoo losing market share to Google

Number two search engine Yahoo is losing market share to Google. That is bad news for Yahoo that has already had layoffs. I see Microsoft and Yahoo fading fast. The merger could have put energy into the company, but it failed as well.

Why I don't dig DIGG

For a while DIGG was a great concept with people voting for stories, but it seems a bit rigged, I mean the few topics I submit never hit front page. Well, now we see that the DIGGbar makes Digg even more worthless as a source of information and for link bait.

Classic pump and dump scheme like our bear market rally which boosted the DOW which is also manipulated. They got a few more suckers to swim into the net thinking that they were getting big name dow shares at bargain basement price, then poof the stock market goes down yet once more.

Digg worthless for SEO

Digg now shortens URLs so it does not pass link juice. Digg is now worthless for SEO. Sad to see such a wonderful resource become a piece of junk.

Youtube losing big green

Yes, it is a money pit. Youtube went to HD movies and a 320 X 240 video is about 3 megs, but a few days ago I uploaded a HQ HD 720p film that was over 500 megs in size. OK, guess what, over half of the expenses of Youtube are bandwidth. This nuTV is making Google poor.

This year Youtube will lose over 470 million dollars, that is near half a billion folks. I see in the future two alternatives. That we pay for premium content, or that Google shuts down this money losing operation.

SEO Jobs

Finding a job in SEO can be difficult with our economic crisis, but no worry SEOJOBFINDER can help you find a job. This is an SEO search engine for jobs. First you type in your specifications, then it will bring up a list of jobs that are available. Actually, many firms are moving from PPC to SEO as a way to save money, so chances are good that they are looking to staff up on search engine experts.

use GA to get traffic

Google Analytics can help you get traffic. It provides a wealth of information. This tool is a great way to see how viewers are finding your web site, and once you know how users of your product are navigating the net you can do Landing Page Optimization or LPO. This is key to increasing conversion once you increase traffic.

Log files for SEO

Log File analysis is important in SEO. That is because you need to find out where your traffic is coming (Digg SEO) from and where they go once they enter your web site. Think of your site as a funnel that directs viewers toward a sales page where they buy your products.

Link Building

Links are the currency of the new internet age. OK as people move away from pay per click to SEO, we see a new way forward. Trading content and resources will lead to more links and less PPC. Building links will become more important; however, there will be less clicks and far less SALES.

annoying comments

OK so we are all aware of the nasty notes that appear on Youtube. Yes, those comments from a 14 year old that says "diz sux!" to your movies. What do we do about Comment Saboteurs In Social Media?
